I had not heard of the Brazilian brand Osklen until I stumbled upon it in Rome of all places. I immediately loved its casual style, flattering draping and lush fabrics. My boyfriend equally loved the menswear line. The brand, so suited to the Australian aesthetic, is unfortunately hard to come by in Oz, so if you find it spread the word.

The old and new of it

You may not have heard of them before but Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair have been creating some seriously cool kit. This Swedish brand is dedicated to "traditional tailoring, pattern making and the old ways of the trade". Their cropped trench featured below is an example of this dedication but also shows how the brand merges the old ways with the new. Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair is stocked at Incu and the cropped trench is on sale at Incu's Galeries Victoria store now!

Coco Avant Chanel

The day is almost upon us. Coco Avant Chanel, the film that portrays Gabrielle Coco Chanel's rise from orphan to legendary couturier, opens in cinemas around the country on 25 June. The Australian premiere was held last week and there were plenty of Sydney's social set there to check out the much anticipated film. I can't wait to see it out myself.

On the Straight and Narrow
