St Nicoll and the Blonde Venus

He is a saint that Richard Nicoll... well at least his latest collection looks like it would be worn by saints - really edgy saints mind you! I love Richard's hard lines combined with soft sheer fabrics and light tones. It makes his designs beautiful but still very modern.

Richard is British born but was raised in WA and says his upbringing in Oz helped to shape his design aesthetic. He graduated from Central Saint Martin's in 2002 and worked alongside Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton in 2005 as a freelance consultant. In 2005 Richard showed his first collection at London Fashion Week and has been considered one of the ones to watch...

On the Straight and Narrow

I've noticed a lot of the classic black and white stripes featured in photos by The Sartorialist of late and I'm feeling inspired. I love Ann-Sofie BACKs take - more zebra than not. Manning Cartell also featured it in shades of grey. For the boys check out Anna & Boy's boardshorts!
