Tutu for you? Oui oui for me!

I bought this Samvara tutu a few weeks back. It's one of those impractical things you just have to have. I've organised a girls dinner this Saturday at a French place I've been meaning to try and I'm thinking it might be the occasion to wear it. Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out!

I'm thinking:
- black tights/leggings
- black highest of heels
- white bassike tee/boyfriend shirt
- black waist belt
Hmmm...

Also check
Alannah Hill's tulle skirt, my lovely friend Tinki has it and it looks amazing and is very practical. Who said a tutu is impractical?!

September Issue

Who has tickets to tonights sold out screening of September Issue at the Sydney Film Festival? They're the hottest tickets in town. Those lucky enough will be seeing:

"A fly-on-the-wall look at Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her team of designers, stylists and photographers as they assemble the magazine’s most anticipated edition of the year...a dishy and engrossing peek inside the fashion world’s corridors of power. - Variety "

Finally we can be flies on the wall at Vogue HQ!

Hit the Spot

House of Holland was spot on with this mini worn by Kirsten Stewart on the March cover of Nylon Magazine. Hit the spot by mixing it with florals as seen at the Spring ready to wear show. The spot is Hot!

Don't tell your boyfriend

I love an oversized white shirt. The ol' boyfriend shirt holds so much potential. I have an old Howard Showers one from the 90s that I still wear. They really never grow old and they survive the seasons - worn over a bikini in summer and with tights/jeans in winter. Perfect!

Who does it best?

You know I love her, I know you love her but I have to admit I think Kate tops Chloe when it comes to this Chloe SS09 Blazer/Short combo. I think she tops Sienna too... I even think she tops the runway take... What do you think?

Oui oui poo poo!

Of all the languages I think French sounds the sexiest. I know some like Italian and others like the posh pom but I like French, tres chic! No surprise then that I love French music and I am so into it right now. It is great to listen to at work because unless you can understand French you have no idea what they are saying and don't feel as compelled to sing-a-long (inappropriate in my office unfortunately!).

French music favs are the "So Frenchy So Chic" compilations, they are the unofficial soundtrack to the Alliance Francaise French Film Festival and include songs by Jane Birkin, Camille, Emilie Simon, Jacqueline Taieb... Disc 1 of the 2006 compilation is my favourite I think... Nicolas Repac's "La Nuit Mene Une Existence Obscure" is short but soooo sweet!

I like...

She the First Lady of France, after marrying French President Nicolas Sarkozy but in another life she is a singer with the sweetest voice!
You would have heard this girl before! Her single "Ta Douleur" was an international success and was featured on a Ministry of Sound Chill Out compilation Vol 9!

Emilie Simon, even if you don't like her music (you will) her album covers are great!
